Air Fryer Parmesan Crusted Chicken
One of the best reasons to get an air fryer is so you can make many of your favorite foods faster. Admittedly, not EVERYTHING cooks faster, but many recipes do.
Another benefit is that some recipes that you would normally fry in a lot of oil can be air fried with as little as a few spritzes of oil. Saving you some calories, but also saving you the mess!
How to Air Fry Parmesan Crusted Chicken
Gather all of your ingredients together. Slice the chicken breasts in half lengthwise, making four pieces. Cover the chicken with plastic wrap and pound each piece to a half-inch thickness with the flat side of a meat tenderizer mallet.
Get three shallow bowls and add the flour, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. In another bowl add the egg and whisk it. In a third shallow dish, combine the parmesan cheese and panko bread crumbs.
Coat the chicken in the flour mixture, then the egg, then the panko mixture. Set the chicken in the air fryer basket.
Preheat the air fryer and then cook the chicken. It’s so easy!

Can I use Other Cuts of Chicken?
- Yes you can! Boneless chicken thighs are really good, and they also have a lot of flavor. The cook time may be a little longer (check with a meat thermometer).
- I have used chicken drumsticks in a pinch and they were good. Also a longer cook time.
