Air Fryer Buffalo Chicken Wings
Buffalo Chicken Wings are a classic! You will see these tasty wings make an appearance at Game Day parties, sports bars, and friendly gatherings of all types.
Traditionally you would make them by frying them in oil, but with an air fryer, you can skip the vat of oil and use much less. It's a great alternative.
How to Choose Chicken Wings
You can use whole chicken wings or pieces, known as drumettes and flats. They often come in bags or multi-packs. As long as they are raw and thawed, they will work.
How to Make Air Fryer Buffalo Chicken Wings
Gather all of the ingredients together. Pat the wings dry and add to a bowl.
Add the dry ingredients to the wings in the bowl. Mix them together to coat them well.
Place the wings into the air fryer basket with a little room around them. Start cooking them. Start mixing the sauce.
Cook the sauce in a small saucepan. Taste it to check seasoning.
When wings are done cooking, remove to a bowl.
Pour the Buffalo sauce over the wings and toss to coat them.
Once the wings are coated in the sauce, remove to a plate and serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
How Do the Wings Get Crispy?
• The trick to getting crisp chicken wings without deep frying is baking powder mixed in the flour coating. There is a whole scientific thing about raising the PH level and breaking down proteins, but just know that it works!
• Make sure you use baking POWDER, and not baking SODA.
• You can’t taste the baking powder in the finished chicken.
