Salisbury Steak Meatballs are delicious and easy to make. This recipe also has an optional savory mushroom gravy, which you can serve with the meatballs over potatoes, pasta, or rice. This is a 30-minute meal that is a great weeknight dinner recipe.

Meatballs are a favorite easy recipe to make because you can throw a bunch of ingredients in a bowl, mix it up, form the meatballs, and cook them. Being small, they cook fast.
If you have ever had Salisbury Steak, you know how flavorful it is, and the different ways to serve it. This is a meatball version of that classic recipe, with a mushroom gravy that you can opt to make to go with them.

Serve this easy meatball recipe with mashed potatoes, rice, or even noodles.
If you make the meatballs without the gravy, you could use the meatballs in other recipes, if you want.
Salisbury Meatballs Ingredients

Meatballs:
Ground Beef or Ground Turkey, Panko Breadcrumbs, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Worcestershire Sauce, Ground Mustard, Egg, Tomato Paste, Salt, Black Pepper.
Mushroom Gravy:
Butter, Mushrooms, Onion, Garlic, Beef Stock, Tomato Paste, Salt, Black Pepper, Parsley.
How to Make Salisbury Steak Meatballs

1) Add the meat and other meatball ingredients to a mixing bowl and mix it up.
2) Form 10 to 12 meatballs.

3) Bake the meatballs for about 20 minutes.
4) While the meatballs are baking, make the mushroom gravy. Sautรฉ the mushroom, onion, and garlic in butter.

5) Pour in the beef stock and mix in the tomato paste. Bring to a simmer.
6) Add the cooked meatballs to the gravy and simmer 1 minute. Then serve.
Variations
Ground Beef: Use ground turkey or chicken.
Panko: Use breadcrumbs or torn fresh bread.
Add More Veggies: Add thinly sliced carrots, or baby spinach.
Double the Recipe: Double the entire recipe or just double the gravy if you like extra.

Salisbury Steak Meatballs

Ingredients
Meatballs
- 1 lb Ground Beef, or Ground Turkey
- 1 cup Panko Breadcrumbs
- ยฝ teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
- 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 teaspoon Ground Mustard
- 1 Egg
- 1 ยฝ Tablespoons Tomato Paste
- ยฝ teaspoon Salt
- ยผ teaspoon Black Pepper
Mushroom Gravy
- 3 Tablespoons Butter
- 1 cup Mushrooms, sliced (4.4 oz)
- 1 medium Onion sliced
- 3 Garlic, peeled & crushed
- 1 cup Beef Stock
- 1 Tablespoon Tomato Paste
- Salt, to taste
- Black Pepper, to taste
- Parsley, to garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375ยฐ F Grease a sheet pan with olive oil or line with parchment paper.
Salisbury Steak Meatballs
- In a large bowl, add ground beef, breadcrumbs, garlic, onion, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, egg, tomato paste, salt and pepper. Mix together.
- Form meatballs using about 1 ยฝ teaspoons of the meat mixture each (a small scoop works well for this). You will get 10-12 meatballs. Place on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes.
Mushroom Gravy
- Meanwhile, heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Then add butter. When butter is melted, add mushrooms, onion and garlic. Stir and cook until tender.
- Pour in the beef stock and mix in the tomato paste. Bring to a simmer.
- Transfer the meatballs into the skillet and stir. Cook for 1 minute.
- Taste and adjust salt and pepper if needed.
- Garnish with parsley and serve immediately over potatoes, rice, noodles, etc.
