Air Fryer Boiled Eggs

I know, how can I call them “boiled eggs” when there is no water involved in the cooking process?! That’s just what I’m calling them so people know that I mean whole cooked eggs.

Air fryers are so great for simple cooking tasks, such as boiled eggs. You can cook them to your desired doneness in minutes!

I like cooking eggs in the air fryer because the outcome is pretty consistent. I also love getting those pretty yellow yolks instead of the green ones (when I overcook them on the stove)!

If there is an old batch of eggs I might get an off result. I test a couple before I make a big batch for something like deviled eggs. Just to be sure!

Can the eggs be cold, right out of the fridge?

Yes, that’s how I normally do mine. My hens aren’t laying like they used to so I rely on store-bought eggs that I keep in the fridge.

Some of my eggs cracked, is this normal?

Yes it is. I rarely have a batch of eggs where one doesn’t crack. If you get a lot of cracked eggs, or worse, exploded eggs, try cooking them at a lower temperature.

Can I make air fryer soft boiled eggs?

Sure! Just cook them for 10 minutes if you want them soft, 12 minutes for medium (remember, your air fryer may cook differently, so do a test!). It really depends on how soft you like them.

Once you make a few you will be able to dial in your perfect time!

This temperature and time works with my air fryer, the Ninja Foodi. Your model may give you different results. Test 1 or 2 eggs following this method, and then adjust to your desired results.

Tried this method, so easy! Cooked 5 eggs for 12 min. The middles were perfect but the shells were hard to peel off without losing some of the egg whites. Any suggestions?

Chill the eggs first. That usually works for me!

I’m sorry to hear that. I tested this recipe in 2 different air fryers (Ninja Foodie and Instant Pot Omni Plus), and it worked perfectly.
