Mozzarella Balls in the Air Fryer

Air fryers are becoming more and more popular. Why is that? There are several reasons:
โ€ข They cook quickly.
โ€ข You can cook fried foods using less oil.
โ€ข Make smaller batches.
โ€ข They are portable.
โ€ข You don’t have to use your big oven (keep the kitchen cool).
โ€ข Air fry, bake, roast, and more.

We appreciate appetizers that are quick and easy to make. Of course, appetizers that are also delicious!

These are what I like to call “semi-homemade” because they use refrigerated canned crescent rolls.

The steps to make these delicious Air Fryer Mozzarella Balls are easy. Here they are:

Arrange the mozzarella balls in the basket so they are not touching each other. This allows the air to circulate around all sides of them.

Like many air fryer recipes, you don’t have to stop halfway through the cook time to flip them.

If your air fryer is large enough, you can double or triple the recipe.

Some Tasty Variations of These Mozzarella Balls Appetizers

โ€ข Add a piece of pepperoni for a pizza version.
โ€ข Add some sauce in with the cheese for a more flavorful version.
โ€ขย Try dipping in garlic butter for even more flavor.

Which Air Fryer Works Best For This Recipe?

I think these Mozzarella Balls can be made in any style of air fryer. Keep in mind that different models of air fryers may cook differently, so just keep an eye on them as they cook, for the first time, until you get used to how your air fryer behaves.

I live in a gluten-free home so I used gluten free bread crumbs and did a coating of rice flour on the cheese before the egg wash and bread crumbs. Turned out beautiful. Thanks for the tip of putting them in the freezer!!
