Indoor Oven S’mores are a great way to enjoy the sweet camping treat we all know and love, indoors, without the need for a campfire! Yummy S’mores made in your oven, any time you want them!

When was the last time you busted out the marshmallow sticks and roasted them over an open fire? Of course those are the best for making S’mores, but what if you don’t have a fire handy? Make them in your oven!

The first time I had oven S’mores was at one of our family reunions some years ago. The “Lunch Ladies” (as we like to call our sisters who cooked for us) made them.

They had to make over 100 of them in a short amount of time, so this was the only way to do it. The camp didn’t allow fires.

It was so obvious, but I had a mini mind-blown moment!

This is a fun recipe to let the kids help with. They can line up the the graham crackers and assemble them before you put them in the oven.

How easy is this?! Make as few or as many Indoor Oven S’mores as you need! If they get cold, you can pop them in the microwave for about 5 seconds and they will be nice and warm again!

You can use peanut butter cups (they now make thin ones!), or chocolate caramel candies in place of the chocolate bar. Get creative! I must admit that I like the classic chocolate bar version.

Ingredients
  • 12 Graham Crackers, broken in half, divided
  • 3 (1.55 oz) Chocolate Bars, divided in fourths
  • 12 lg Marshmallows
Optional
  • 12 Thin Peanut Butter Cups (in place of the chocolate bars)
Instructions
  1. Heat oven to 400° F. Set oven rack in the center or top third of the oven.

  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  3. Arrange 12 of the graham cracker halves on the baking sheet.

  4. Place one piece of chocolate on each graham cracker.

  5. Place one marshmallow on top of each piece of chocolate.

  6. Place in the oven on the middle rack.

  7. Bake for 3-5 minutes, or until the marshmallows puff up and turn golden brown on top. Keep an eye on them so they don't burn!
