Witches Brew Halloween Punch Ingredients
You only need a few simple ingredients to make this easy Halloween sherbet punch!
For the exact amounts, please see the recipe card below.
- Lemon-Lime Soda: Sprite or 7UP adds sweetness and plenty of bubbles. Be sure to chill it before making the punch.
- Pineapple Juice: Adds a delicious fruity flavor that goes well with the lime sherbet. Use 100% pineapple juice.
- Lime Sherbet: Gives the punch its sweet lime flavor and creates that fun, foamy top.
- Food Coloring: Optional, but it makes the punch a brighter green. I used yellow and blue Wilton gel food coloring to get the shade I wanted.
- Gummy worms and candy eyeballs make the drinks even more festive!
How to Make Witches Brew Halloween Punch
This easy green Halloween punch comes together in just a few minutes!
- Simply pour the chilled pineapple juice into your punch bowl, followed by the lemon-lime soda. Add a few drops of yellow and blue food coloring, stirring and adding a little more until you get the shade of green you like.
- Then add scoops of lime sherbet. The sherbet will begin to foam as it melts, creating that fun, bubbling witches brew appearance. Serve immediately while it’s nice and frothy!

How to Serve Witches Brew Halloween Punch
I love serving this punch in a clear glass bowl so everyone can see the bright green color and bubbling foam. I used a 4-quart glass punch bowl, and the amount was just right!
No punch bowl? You can use a large glass lemonade pitcher instead! An old-fashioned glass pitcher with a handle and pouring spout works especially well and makes serving easy.
Choose one with a wide opening so you can add the sherbet. If your pitcher isn’t large enough, divide the punch between two pitchers.
Cute Decorations: For extra Halloween fun, decorate the serving glasses with gummy worms or candy eyeballs. I also used plastic spiders for my photos, but be sure to remove any plastic decorations or toothpicks before serving.

Witches Brew Punch Bowl Size Guide
Not sure how much punch to make? I tested this recipe in a 4-quart punch bowl, but you can easily adjust the amounts for a smaller or larger bowl.
Here’s a handy guide to help you make just the right amount!
| Punch Bowl Size | Lemon-Lime Soda | Pineapple Juice | Lime Sherbet | Approx. Servings |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2 Quarts | 30 oz | 12 oz | 2 cups | 7 |
| 3 Quarts | 45 oz | 18 oz | 3 cups | 10–11 |
| 4 Quarts | 60 oz | 24 oz | 4 cups | 14 |
| 5 Quarts | 75 oz | 30 oz | 5 cups | 17–18 |
| 6 Quarts | 90 oz | 36 oz | 6 cups | 21 |
| 8 Quarts | 120 oz | 48 oz | 8 cups | 28 |
Servings are approximate, based on 8-ounce (1-cup) portions. Actual yield may vary as the sherbet melts and creates foam.
For larger batches, add the sherbet gradually and leave room for the foam so your punch bowl doesn’t overflow.
Make-Ahead and Storage
Make-Ahead: You can measure and chill the pineapple juice ahead of time. Keep the soda refrigerated and the sherbet frozen until you’re ready to make the punch.
For the best bubbles and foam, combine everything shortly before serving.
Since sherbet contains dairy, don’t leave the punch at room temperature for more than 2 hours, or 1 hour if the temperature is above 90°F.
Storage: This punch is best enjoyed fresh. Refrigerate leftovers promptly in a covered container and use within 24 hours for the best flavor and quality.
The sherbet will melt completely, and the soda will gradually lose its fizz. Give the punch a gentle stir before serving leftovers. You can add a splash of fresh lemon-lime soda to bring back some bubbles.
