Add oatmeal, water, salt, and any other ingredients to an oven safe stainless steel or baking dish/bowl (I have a 1 quart size oven safe round baking dish that I use, and sometimes I use a 1 quart stainless steel bowl).
Add one cup of water to the Instant Pot's inner liner.
Place the trivet or rack that came with the pot in the inner liner (if you don't have that one, use a rack without tall legs as the bowl may sit up too high).
Set the bowl of oats on the rack (You may need to use a sling to do this if your dish or rack doesn't have handles). Leave bowl uncovered.
Close the lid of the Instant Pot and set the steam release knob to the Sealing position.
Press the Manual (or Pressure Cook) button, then the + or - button to select 10 minutes.
After cooking cycle ends, let naturally release pressure for 10 minutes. Let sit for 12 minutes for a bit creamier result.
