- 6-7 pound Ham (bone-in or spiral cut)
- 1 cup Coca Cola or Dr. Pepper (regular or diet)
- 1 cup Brown Sugar, packed
- ¼ cup Dijon Mustard
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon Ground Cloves
- ¼ teaspoon Ground Ginger
Garnish
- Fresh Herbs thyme, rosemary, cranberries, oranges
Place the ham in the slow cooker.
Combine the cola, brown sugar, mustard, cinnamon, cloves and ginger.
Pour the sauce over the ham.
Set on high for 3 to 4 hours or low for 6 to 8 hours. Don't overcook!
If you want a thicker glaze, add some corn starch mixed with a little water to the drippings and boil it in a small saucepan until thickened. Then pour over the servings.
Place the ham on a serving platter and garnish with herbs, orange slices or cranberries.
- I prefer to use a bone-in ham, but any ham will work.
- Hams are cooked so they really only need to be heated through. If they overcook they can dry out, so watch carefully.
- Spoon the glaze over the ham throughout the cooking time.
- If you want a nice crust, place your ham on a cookie sheet and set under a 500° broiler for 5 minutes. Watch carefully!
Storage
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
- You may divide the leftovers into separate containers and freeze for up to 3 months.
