Ingredients

Blueberry Filling

  • cup White Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Cornstarch
  • ½ teaspoon Cinnamon optional
  • 6 cups Fresh or Frozen Blueberries

Crisp Topping

  • ½ cup All-Purpose Flour
  • ½ cup Old Fashioned Oats
  • cup Brown Sugar
  • ½ cup (8 Tablespoons) Unsalted Butter

Instructions

Prep

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease an 8" or 9" baking dish and set aside.

Make the Blueberry Filling

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the white sugar, cornstarch, and cinnamon.

  2. Add the blueberries and toss in the mixture to coat them.

  3. Add blueberry mixture into the prepared baking dish.

Make the Crisp Topping

  1. Using the same bowl, combine the flour, oats, and brown sugar. Add the cold cubed butter and, using a pastry cutter, or your hands, work the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs or wet sand.
  2. Sprinkle the crisp topping evenly over the blueberries.

Bake

  1. Bake for 40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the fruit is bubbling.
  2. Serve warm. Try serving this blueberry crisp with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
