- 1 10-ounce can Cream of Chicken Soup or try my homemade
- ½ cup Milk
- ½ cup Sour Cream
- 1 ½ teaspoons Garlic Powder
- ½ teaspoon Onion Powder
- ½ teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1 small Onion, diced
- 2 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese, divided
- 1 13-ounce package Kielbasa or Smoked Sausage (cut in half-moon chunks)
- 1 32-ounce bag Frozen Diced Hash Brown Potatoes (I use the O’Brien)
To a large bowl, add the soup, milk, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, and pepper. Mix well.
Stir in the diced onion, half of the shredded cheese, and kielbasa. Mix well.
Next, add the diced hash browns and mix together.
Add the mixture to a greased slow cooker (or use a crockpot liner).
Sprinkle remaining cheese over the top.
Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours or high for about 3-4 hours.
Meat
This recipe can also be made with browned ground meat (beef, turkey, chicken, or pork). I recommend adding smoked paprika and extra garlic powder for flavor.
