Equipment

  • Large Bowl
  • Cooking Spray
  • 5-qt or Larger Slow Cooker

Ingredients

  • 1 10-ounce can Cream of Chicken Soup or try my homemade
  • ½ cup Milk
  • ½ cup Sour Cream
  • 1 ½ teaspoons Garlic Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Onion Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 small Onion, diced
  • 2 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese, divided
  • 1 13-ounce package Kielbasa or Smoked Sausage (cut in half-moon chunks)
  • 1 32-ounce bag Frozen Diced Hash Brown Potatoes (I use the O’Brien)

Instructions

  • To a large bowl, add the soup, milk, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, and pepper. Mix well.
  • Stir in the diced onion, half of the shredded cheese, and kielbasa. Mix well.
  • Next, add the diced hash browns and mix together.
  • Add the mixture to a greased slow cooker (or use a crockpot liner).
  • Sprinkle remaining cheese over the top.
  • Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours or high for about 3-4 hours.

Notes

Meat

This recipe can also be made with browned ground meat (beef, turkey, chicken, or pork). I recommend adding smoked paprika and extra garlic powder for flavor.
