- 1 (15.25 oz) Cake Mix (I use chocolate, but use what you want)
- 3 lg Eggs (or amount your mix calls for)
- 1 cup Water (or amount your mix calls for)
- ⅓ cup Vegetable Oil (or amount your mix calls for)
- 24 Paper Cupcake Liners
For Decorating
- 1 (16 oz) tub Frosting (I find chocolate or vanilla looks cute)
- 1 bag Candy Corn
- 1 bottle Small Googly Eyes
Heat oven to 350° F.
Mix cake mix according to package instructions.
Line 2 (12-cup) muffin tins with the cupcake liners.
Fill cupcake liners about 2/3 full. Use all of the cake batter. It's okay if they are a little fuller than 2/3.
Bake 13 to 17 minutes (or time stated on box), or until a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean.
Let cool in the pans for 30 minutes. Then remove the cupcakes to a wire rack to finish cooling.
Spread some frosting on each cupcake to cover tops. Then arrange the candy eyes and candy corn on the cupcake to make the turkeys.
Use 5 or 6 candy corns for the tail feathers, and one with the pointy side down for the beak. Set the eyes just above the beak. Or get creative!
