- 6 (15-ounce) cans Cut Green Beans drained
- 12 slices Bacon (I use thick cut)
- ½ cup Brown Sugar packed
- ⅓ cup Butter melted
- 2 ½ Tablespoons Low Sodium Soy Sauce
- 1 ½ teaspoons Garlic Powder
Prep
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Cook the bacon in a large skillet, or use your preferred method. Then transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain. Crumble or chop the bacon.
Spread the drained green beans evenly in a 9×13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle the bacon over the beans.
Make the Sauce
Whisk together the brown sugar, melted butter, soy sauce, and garlic powder until the sauce is smooth, thick, and well combined. The butter may look separated at first, so keep whisking until it comes together.
Bake and Serve
Bake uncovered for 40 minutes, until hot throughout.
Gently toss the green beans with the bacon and sauce before serving. Be sure every serving gets some of that flavorful sauce!
- The bacon can be cooked ahead and refrigerated until you are ready to assemble the dish.
- The bacon and soy sauce provide salt. Taste before adding any extra salt.
To make ahead: Assemble up to a day in advance, cover, and refrigerate. For the best bacon texture, refrigerate the cooked bacon separately and add just before baking. Allow additional baking time if the dish is cold. Follow the baking dish manufacturer's instructions for refrigerator-to-oven use.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3–4 days. Reheat to 165°F.
