Ingredients
1(28 oz) canPork and Beans,do not drain
1(15 oz) canRed Kidney Beans,rinsed & drained
1(15 oz) canBlack Beans,rinsed & drained
1(15 oz) canGarbanzo Beans,rinsed & drained
1(15 oz) canGreat Northern Beans,rinsed & drained
1(15 oz) canCannellini Beans,rinsed & drained
1smSweet Onion,diced
6slicesThick Cut Smoky Bacon,cut in 1.5" pieces
⅓cupBrown Sugar
½cupMolasses
¼cupKetchup
1-2tspLiquid Smoke
2tspDijon Mustard
½cupSmoky Barbecue Sauce(I like hickory or mesquite)
2clovesGarlic,minced (or 2 tsp Garlic Powder)
½tspPepper
Instructions
Add all of the ingredients to a 4 qt-6 qt slow cooker. Stir well.
Place the lid on and cook on Low for 5-6 hours, or on High for 3-4 hours. Stir once or twice halfway through cooking time.
The beans will thicken as they cool. You can reheat without adding water, unless you want them thinner.
Notes
This recipe doubles nicely. Use a 6 qt to 8 qt size if doubling.
