Small Mixing Bowl
- 1 pound Filet Mignon (or sirloin, ribeye, etc.)
- 1 pound Bacon, cut in half (not thick)
- 1 teaspoon Olive Oil (or avocado oil)
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Paprika
- 1 teaspoon Red Chili Flakes (optional)
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
Cut the steak into bite sized pieces (about 1.5-inch cubes).
In a medium bowl, mix together the oil, salt, pepper, paprika, chili flakes, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Add the steak to the bowl and mix well.
Take each individual steak bite and wrap with bacon. Secure with a toothpick (see article for photos and details).
Add each steak bite to the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd. Cook at 380°F for 11-15 minutes, depending on how well done you want your bacon and steak. I cooked it for 11 minutes for a medium rare steak*.
Serve with a dipping sauce, or as is.
Internal Temperature for Steak
Rare: 120°F, Medium-Rare: 130°F, Medium: 140°F, Medium-Well: 150°F, Well-Done: 160°F.
An instant read thermometer is the best way to check the internal temperature to test doneness.
*Air Fryer models vary, as do cuts of meat, so I suggest doing a test before cooking the entire batch so you get the level of doneness you prefer.
