Olive Tapenade in white bowl

Olive Tapenade

Tapenade is a French condiment, traditionally made with olives, capers, and olive oil. My version, of Olive Tapenade it salty, a little garlicky, and pairs well with tomatoes. Always on my Bruschetta platter!

Ingredients

  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • ½ Tbsp Lemon Juice fresh
  • 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • ¼ cup Green Olives pitted and drained
  • 1 ½ cup Kalamata Olives pitted and drained
  • 1 ½ Roasted Red Peppers
  • 1 ½ Tbsp Capers drained
  • 5 Basil Leaves chopped

Instructions

  1. Add garlic, lemon juice, and olive oil to a food processor and pulse several times until garlic is finely chopped.

  2. Add all of the other ingredients and pulse several times until all ingredients are incorporated. You can stop when the desired texture is achieved. I like mine a little more chopped, some people like it chunkier.

Recipe Notes

Serve on crostini, on crackers, with Bruschetta.
