Best Slow Cooker Baked Beans

The Best Slow Cooker Baked Beans are rich, sweet, savory, and very delicious! This is my family baked beans recipe. My crock pot baked beans are a favorite potluck recipe!

Ingredients

  • 1 (28 oz) can Pork and Beans, do not drain
  • 1 (15 oz) can Red Kidney Beans, rinsed & drained
  • 1 (15 oz) can Black Beans, rinsed & drained
  • 1 (15 oz) can Garbanzo Beans, rinsed & drained
  • 1 (15 oz) can Great Northern Beans, rinsed & drained
  • 1 (15 oz) can Cannellini Beans, rinsed & drained
  • 1 sm Sweet Onion, diced
  • 6 slices Thick Cut Smoky Bacon, cut in 1.5" pieces
  • cup Brown Sugar
  • ½ cup Molasses
  • ¼ cup Ketchup
  • 1-2 tsp Liquid Smoke
  • 2 tsp Dijon Mustard
  • ½ cup Smoky Barbecue Sauce (I like hickory or mesquite)
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced (or 2 tsp Garlic Powder)
  • ½ tsp Pepper

Instructions

  1. Add all of the ingredients to a 4 qt-6 qt slow cooker. Stir well.

  2. Place the lid on and cook on Low for 5-6 hours, or on High for 3-4 hours. Stir once or twice halfway through cooking time.

  3. The beans will thicken as they cool. You can reheat without adding water, unless you want them thinner.

Recipe Notes

This recipe doubles nicely. Use a 6 qt to 8 qt size if doubling.
