Instant Pot Brown Rice

Instant Pot Brown Rice comes out perfectly cooked and fluffy! If you love brown rice, this is a great way to cook it faster than on the stove, and easier!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Brown Rice, rinsed well
  • cups Water (or use veggie broth, chicken broth, etc.)
  • tsp Olive Oil (optional)
  • ½ tsp Kosher Salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the rice well and drain it.

  2. Add rice to the inner stainless liner of the pressure cooker.

  3. Add the water, oil, and salt.

  4. Stir and level out the rice so it is all submerged.

  5. Close the lid and set the steam release knob to the Sealing position.

  6. Press the Pressure Cook/Manual button or dial, then the +/- button or dial to select 23 minutes. High Pressure. The pot will take several minutes to come to pressure.

  7. When the cook cycle has finished, turn off the pot and let it sit undisturbed until the pin in the lid drops down.

  8. When the pin in the lid drops down, open the lid.

  9. Fluff the rice with a fork.

  10. Serve immediately, or use for meal prep.

Recipe Notes

Storage:

Let the rice cool completely before refrigerating. Will keep in an airtight container up to 5 days.
