Air Fryer Chicken Parmesan
Season the chicken breasts with salt and the Italian seasoning. Set aside.
Preheat the air fryer to 375° F for 5 minutes. Grease the air fryer basket with cooking spray or place a parchment paper in it. Prep the chicken while air fryer is heating up.
You will need 3 shallow bowls. In one bowl, add the flour. In another bowl, add the egg and whisk it. In a third bowl, add the Panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder, and parmesan with ¼ teaspoon of the salt to season (mix).
Start by placing the chicken in the flour. Coat each side well. Gently shake off excess.
Next dip into the egg, and lastly in the Panko breadcrumbs mixture.
Place in the preheated air fryer basket (I like drizzle a bit of olive oil on the chicken before placing it in the air fryer but you can skip this part). Depending on the size of your basket you will cook in either 1 or 2 batches.
Cook at 375° F for 5 minutes, then flip and cook the chicken on the other side for another 5 minutes.
Don’t remove the chicken yet. Top with marinara sauce, mozzarella and parmesan. Air fry for 4 minutes until the cheese melted.
Remove and serve immediately with your favorite pasta and extra marinara.
Allow to cool completely and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Allow to cool down completely. Freeze in a ziplock freezer bag or wrap in aluminum foil.
Bring to room temperature before reheating. Reheat in the air fryer at 320° F until warmed through.
