Ingredients

  • 1 (15.25 oz) Cake Mix (I use chocolate, but use what you want)
  • 3 lg Eggs (or amount your mix calls for)
  • 1 cup Water (or amount your mix calls for)
  • cup Vegetable Oil (or amount your mix calls for)
  • 24 Paper Cupcake Liners

For Decorating

  • 1 (16 oz) tub Frosting (I find chocolate or vanilla looks cute)
  • 1 bag Candy Corn
  • 1 bottle Small Googly Eyes

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350° F.

  2. Mix cake mix according to package instructions.

  3. Line 2 (12-cup) muffin tins with the cupcake liners.

  4. Fill cupcake liners about ⅔ full. Use all of the cake batter. It's okay if they are a little fuller than ⅔.

  5. Bake 13 to 17 minutes (or time stated on box), or until a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean.

  6. Let cool in the pans for 30 minutes. Then remove the cupcakes to a wire rack to finish cooling.

  7. Spread some frosting on each cupcake to cover tops. Then arrange the candy eyes and candy corn on the cupcake to make the turkeys.

  8. Use 5 or 6 candy corns for the tail feathers, and one with the pointy side down for the beak. Set the eyes just above the beak. Or get creative!
